O no

So I planned to dedicate this weekend to doing my essay's.
But I have yet to start them.
Gosh what is wrong with me?
distractions, distractions
I want to do anything but homework. But who doesn't
I really need to get on the ball tomorrow I shall clean my room and do my homework.
I hope.
I'm really going to try because I want to star March off right.

Super random but here is a picture of Mimi in her sweater last week. It acutally is an old sock. (this is what happens when you don't want to buy your dog clothes)I have no money for that. haha. But she gets really cold in the winter and shivers. I should crochet her something. But then again...

She might just try to take it off. She prefers to be naked. haha Our first dog, Tippy, always wore one of my dad's old white socks.

Well I hope everyone had a Happy Febuary.

The rain

It rained so hard yesterday. I just loved the sound of it outside my window. Because of it today was so beautiful the mountains looked amazing with all the snow on them. I must take another trip to them for some more sledding soon.

O im so glad the rain gave my car a good washing. It was much needed.

Pretty little toy

So I had a pile of lovely scraps and thought I should make them into something fun.

So I cut them

into pentagons and octagons

and sewed them up to make this pretty little ball.

I love how all the fabrics look together. They would make such a beautiful scrap quilt.

Gosh I can't wait to have kids. They are going to have lots of homemade stuff. Blankets, clothes, and toys. But who knows if I will actually have time to make all that stuff when I do have my own children to take care of. I sure hope so. Well thousands women did it in the past and Im sure I can do it too. I will need to be super structured with my days. O I can't wait.

The pattern for the ball is from Anna Maria Horner's Seams to Me book. She is one of my favorite fabric designers.

Praying for the people in Chile who don't have a warm bed to sleep in tonight. May the Lord fill them with comfort in these hard times.
Good night

deliciousness

My parents are the best. They brought me home some Pinkberry today.

I am so addicted. Why is it so good? It beats Golden Spoon, Jogurt,21 Choices and Yogurt Land any day.

So I really want to make some cupcakes.

I love these pretty liners. Right now the only liners I have are yellow and not so cute.

These ones are soo sweet.

People are so creative this is so cute. So...who wants to bake and decorate cupcakes with me?

I want Sprinkles cupcakes. I have actually only had them once and it was a couple of years ago. So it is time for me to have another one. haha. They can be a little pricey at $36 a dozen but boy are they delicious. Unfortunately the closest Sprinkles is in Beverly Hills and I have never actually been to the shop. (Joy if your reading this we HAVE to go.) If you haven't heard about Sprinkles check out the site and see how pretty and simple the little cupcakes really are.

Craving

I want a delicious warm cinnamon roll right now. But I shouldn't have one because...
1. they take a quite a bit of time to make.
2. they are extremely unhealthy

Do you remember these from this post? They were so goooooood. Way better then the store bought kind.

Well I guess I will see you in my dreams cinnamon rolls.
Woohoo no school tomorrow but I do have two big essays :( Hopefully I will finish them super quick.

Move over

Move over Mimi! Today I tried to take pictures with Mimi but her big ole' ears blocked my face in almost all the pictures. My poor dog. Her ears are nothing but trouble.

Look how cute she use to be.

Such a sweet pup. Can we go back to those days for a bit? I wish. Gah I love her so much even though she makes me go crazy.

So the math test was pretty tough. I am praying that I did okay but I know I wont get like an A or anything it was a lot harder then I expected.

Only one more day of school til my weekend begins. Eeee!

Study Abroad

I have been daydreaming about studying in London all day. I made a jar and put twenty bucks in it to start saving. It seems like nothing when you need 7,000 dollars plus spending money but it is a start, right?

I really want to see the clock tour and a castle. I sound like such a tourist. Like the people who come to LA to see the Hollywood sign. I remember someone asking me if I had seen it. (I think it was when I was in Florida) I thought it was so funny because it is just a silly sign. At least the clock tower and castles are insanely beautiful.

I am still praying that everything works out.

Now I need to stop day dreaming and focus on my geography homework. Ahhh I'm tired and really don't want to do the work. O school you drive me crazy...

So Sleepy

I did a great deal this weekend. I started my weekend going to a campus crusade girl's sleepover with Gaby. It was lots of fun. We had really great discussions and played some fun games. It was great getting to know some more people from the school. It is a lot harder to meet people if you don't live on campus. Everyone except Gaby and lived away from home. We didn't go to bed til like twoish though which is super late for me. I like to hit the hay early. But lately life doesn't allow me too.

After the sleepover Gaby and I went to a study abroad meeting. I think I really am going to go. I am ecstatic. I can hardly contain myself. It looks so amazing. I just need to come up with some cash and get all my paper work squared away. It would only be ten weeks. Gaby and I already have it planned that while we are there we will try to visit Italy, Greece, Ireland, and Spain. I guess flights in Europe are insanely cheap. It would be amazing to cross off five of the places I want to visit in my lifetime off my list. I'm giddy just thinking about it. So the plan is to fund raise money like crazy. Gaby and I were brainstorming on good ways to make money. We are thinking a dinner would be cool.

Then later that day I went to babysit and didn't get home til late. So tonight I am going to bed a little earlier. I have homework to do in the morning before school. I am praying that I will do well in all my classes this quarter and next. I'm so lazy when it comes to school. If something is hard I just don't want to do it. I really need to change that and pray the Lord will help me to do so.

Purse

I made this purse today with some fabric I have had for a while now. I really wanted to make a bag so I looked through my fabric stash and came across this pretty fabric. Next time I would like to make the purse in a much more simple print. The purse is a little busy for my liking but is still really cute. I think I might just sell it on my etsy page. I am still waiting for my pay pal thing to process so that I can acutally put stuff on the site. If anyone is intersted this bag is made with Amy Butler's home decor Nigella fabric. The purse is fully lined and interfaced to make it even more sturdy. It is $36. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I'm going to try to make and sell as much as I can. I am trying to save up money so that I can study abroad. Tomorrow I am going to a meeting for studying abroad in London. Wouldn't that be so cool!To make that dream a reality I need to make and sell lots of goodies.

God is good I already have some orders for baby stuff and a babysitting job tomorrow.

I want to cook

I love cooking unique meals I rarely do it because usually it takes a while. Although I am more of the baker type sometimes I feel like I want to cook something I have never made before. That's how I feel right now. The following pictures are from a soup I made a couple of months ago. The actual soup did not turn out so great. (I didn't like the consistency) But the Roasted Corn Guacamole topping was delicious. I need to make it again. Soo good.

The picture does not do it justice.

Well goodnight world.

this kid

is my favorite eight year old in the whole wide world.

I remember when he liked kisses. Not so much anymore. I guess he is too old for that. haha

That's better.

Pretty soon this kid will stop with the kisses. :)

I will just have to enjoy them while they last.

Goodness I love my little cousins. Davey and Evan too. I need to get some more pictures of those cuties on here.

Mas Mimi

It was yet another pretty day. So I laid in the front yard and soaked up the sun with little Mimi.

Goodness fuzzyface is such a peculiar looking dog but I love her so.

It was calm and serene until Mimi saw some people walking. I think it is hilarious that she thinks that she can protect me.

Okay really random but lately I have been listening to Christmas music. Well not songs like Frosty the Snowman but ones like O Holy Night. I really don't know where Christmas went and feel like I didnt get my fair share of Christmas music and festivties. Besides who says you can't sing about the birth of our savior all year around? Why must we stop saying/singing things like Peace on Earth the day after Christmas?
So I am going to continue singing/listening til my heart is content.

Winter in California

Coryn, Alyse and I spent this pretty day at Newport beach.

It was so sunny

That our eyes were closed in most of the pictures.

See...
We had a lovely day and ate seafood at the Crab Cooker. Now I am really craving summer but I am ecstatic that spring is near.
