I don't think a day goes by without me thinking about England. If only it weren't so hard for an American to live in the United Kingdom. sigh...

We have two orange trees. This one is dying and that makes me incredibly sad. It's the one we always sit under.

I bought these glasses in Spain. Everytime I wear them happy thoughts come into my head.

That's all.

A day in Oak Glen

I feel like I haven't blogged in weeks... So I thought today I'd leave you with some pictures from yesterday. I had such a lovely time enjoying the nature in Oak Glen with some really great people. I needed some fresh air and those big giant oaks did the trick for me. This afternoon I decided to make a tart with the apples I picked. It turned out quite delicious. I can't wait to go back next year!

sewing

I have been quite a terrible blogger as of late. The past few days I was still feeling a bit icky so I haven't done anything too exciting.
BUT
I finally started to sew again. I now have a place to sew and make big giant messes in. I haven't really sewn at all since January! Crazy, right? I had planned on sewing all summer but my Spain trip took me by surprise and I didn't end up doing any sewing at all. So what does one make after a 9 months of not touching a sewing machine. I wanted to make something simple so I decided on a little baby wrap top. I had wanted to make a simple blouse for myself but didn't have material to do so. Well at least not a large enough pieces of fabric for something like a top. I thought this little top would be a perfect project to warm up my sewing skills.

I don't know what I will make next. I'm not going to lie I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the options one has with sewing. I haven't the slightest idea what I should work on next. Another simple something I suppose. I really need to continue to sharpen my sewing skills.

cold

Over the past couple of days I'm pretty sure I sneezed well over a hundred times. I've seem to contract an awful cold.

I went to the doctor today and they gave me some meds and I seem to be feeling a tad better. The funny thing is I didn't make the appointment for this cold. I had made it for what I assumed were some issues with my sinus's. My throat has been bothering me every single morning since the last few days I was in Spain which was over a month ago. Just in the morning though. On Tuesday my throat didn't stop hurting as the day went on like it usually did. By Wednesday my nose was like a faucet. Gross, right? And today my head felt as if it were going to explode. The doctor told me I had a fever, which would explain why I was sweating in my sleep. Flash backs of those humid summer nights in Spain.

Anyways
Being sick stinks.
Thank God I don't get sick to often. Probably because I am usually really good about taking vitamins. But the past few months I haven't taken a single one...
lesson learned.
Hopefully the healing continues and I'll be ready for a wonderful weekend tomorrow.

Most of the day was spent in bed with the pup to keep my company.

Praying i'm not too dramatic about it. I just don't want to get light headed like last time.

walking

ever since I returned from Spain I have been making a point of going on walks.
I'm really enjoying the time alone and being able to just walk and reflect on what is going on in my life.UntitledUntitled
UntitledAnd these days there is a whole lot going on in my head.
Things are changing and big decisions must be made.
I'm asking God for peace, wisdom, and understanding as I finish up school and attempt to figure out what's next for me.
