last day

So today was my last day of being a teenager.
Oh teenagehood you were good to me.
Thank you, Lord, for blessing me with wonderful teenage years.

Goodness I'm dramatic...

I just can't believe im entering my twenties.
ahhhh
it's just crazy to me.
I can't wait to see what God has planned for me in my twenties.

On a completely differnt note. Dreamcenter was wonderful today.I got to hang out with some sweet girls. Next week will be my last Saturday in Watts til I get back from London :( Im going to miss my girls soooo much.

Camp

Currently I'm at a wonderful camp for homeless teens. The girls in my group are super fun. I am praying the Lord will use me to impact their lives.

My time in Watts today was wonderful.I love volunteering there. It's my favorite.

little trip

Today me parents and I took a day trip along the coast. We stopped in Laguna Beach, Oceanside and Carlsbad. We did a little shopping, eating, and sight seeing.

I did a few cartwheels as I soaked up the sun.


Oh check out the bag I made yesterday. It is the perfect size. Not too big, not too small. I will have to take and show you some more pictures of it later.

My mom likes the bag so much that today she bought some fabric for me to make her one.
Well I'm off to bed. Dreamcenter in the morning :)!!

20 days til I leave for London.

things are really moving quickly.

So I have pretty much been a horrible blogger this summer.
I don't have much to say.
but...
Hopefully during my stay in England I will have amazing things to share.

Tomorrow I'm going on a daytrip to San Diego with my family.

new sewing space.

Great news! My parents are allowing me to sew in my sister's old bedroom and I couldn't be happier. It is simply wonderful to have an area to sew and craft in. I sewed for hours tonight and got alot acomplished. There are so many things I want to make before I leave for Europe but I feel like there just isn't enough time. I'm going try to sew as much as I can with in the three short weeks I have before I leave. I am just so excited. I will have to post some picturs of my sewing space soon. The room is still a little bare but it soon will be decorated.

little sister

So my little sister is not so little anymore... Today we celebrated her 18th birthday. Oh I love her mucho. I thank God for blessing me with such a lovely hermana.

My London orientation is tomorrow. I'm so excited!!

Oh and Coryn is coming back from camp. Perfect timing, I was really starting to miss her. It also is her 18th birtday. I can hardly believe it.

too early?

Is it too early to go to bed???
Okay so it's eight o'clock and I'm insanely tired.
The thing is I didn't do much today.
I ran a couple of errands with my mama and that's pretty much it.

I've got a lot on my mind these days.
Some of these things that are out of my control so I shouldn't spend time thinking about them.
I have a good deal of praying to do.

Well on a much happier note I have been eating tons of tomatoes from our garden. I don't know if they really taste better then the ones they carry in grocery stores or I just think they taste better because I grew them myself. haha
Anyway I mixed them with some mozzarella and they were delicious!

Less then a month til I leave for London...
I can't wait.
I'm praying that I have everything I need and will have enough money while I am there.

baby showers

On saturday I went to two baby showers, both for baby girls. So of course headbands and hooded baby blankets were a must for me to make.




The plan is to make more types of these items for my Etsy shop. Currently it has nothing in it. I am just trying to find the time to make and list some cute stuff. I must think of some sort of boy outfit to whip up.

sweet summer.

oh how I love summer. I adore everything about it from the delicious fruits and veggies it brings to the hot heat.
My favorite time of day is when the sun starts to slowly set. It's the best time to take pictures. The lighting isn't too soft or too harsh. It's just perfect.

These past few days I have been exhausted.I got my blood drawn on friday and I didn't even feel like fainting when I left. I was super proud of myself. It's kind of a big deal for me.

Well i'm off to bed, goodnight.

I've been sewing

I have finally started sewing again. Things are a little cramped in my room. But I had some orders to fill.
Check out the stamp my friend Lisa got me. Isn't it just the cutest thing?

I will probably continue to sew through out the week. I have a few more orders to fill. But first I must buy some more onesies to applique.

Finally things are starting to slow down around here. I couldn't be happier. Life was just going a little too fast for me the past two months.
Anywho I have been too busy doing lovely things with my wonderful family and friends that I haven't had time to blog.
But... I do want to share a couple of things from my week.
On Monday I went to hang out with my friend Daniel in downtown. We walked around for hours in search of the perfect place to eat.

I seem to be in love with all the old buildings.

We went down Angel's Flight. I remember going on it when I was a little girl. I have the sweetest picture of David, Coryn and I standing in front of it. I'm wearing a beret type of hat. I will have to find it.


After that I headed to silverlake for a Los Angeles Modern Quilt Guild meeting. It was really great meeting people who are just as passionate about sewing as I am.
Well that was my Monday. Hopefully tomorrow I will find time to blog about Tuesday-Thursday.

Eeeeks. Tomorrow I have to get my blood drawn for my yearly physical. I'm kind of freaking out. I know I'm the biggest baby ever. Deep breaths, deep breaths...

What...It's August already?
Oh how I'm not ready for you...
It's the last month of summer.

It's my last month in the states before I leave for the United Kingdom.

It's my last month to be a teenager :(

I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.

I just wish I had a little more time. I'm hoping September doesn't decide to sneek up on me like August. Life please slow down. I just can't seem to keep up with you.

Trying to remember to live in the now. Not for tomorrow or yesterday.
