Spring Wedding

Out for tea

Yesterday I went to the Scarlet Tea Room with mom and grandma. We had a nice time sipping tea and eating delicious food. You can't go wrong with good company and delightful food.

a bit of knitting

Yesterday night I started working on a beanie. I'm knitting it up with manos de uruguay's Maxima yarn and I just love the color. It's one of my favorite yarns to work with. Hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow so that I can wear it at least a couple times before it gets too hot! But honestly it's probably already too late... Oh well it will get use next winter.

sweet little frock

This morning I made this pretty little thing. A sweet baby girl frock.

I continue to try and make my own patterns. Which has been a little tough because I lack a model to use for measurements. So I just kind of guess and wing it. It will be perfect practice for when I want to make my own children's clothes. How easy it would be to just measure them and sew a dress or shirt to there measurements. But for now I continue to eye ball everything. I made this dress to fit someone around 2. Who knows if my proportions and estimations are right. Anywho I'm really happy with the dress. It's made with kona cotton and some really soft vintage fabric I thrifted last month.

quiet

Sorry it's been so quiet around here. Iv'e been busy working on opening up an etsy. Today I took some photos of my products. I'm going to be focus on selling pretty pennants and other creative things. Stay tuned for updates on my progress.
